Re: FA Cup Replays
It is a shame for the cup to change format in favour of the few clubs who play in Europe. But it also isn't, and shouldn't be, the purpose of the FA Cup to make lots of money for a few clubs who draw at home to big clubs. Glad to see the back of replays personally, extra time and pens is clearly a m...

Could you perhaps explain to me why you had to refer to them as Americans and not just “businessmen”. Does nationality have something to do with your post? If not, don’t use it. I refer to them as Americans because they are from America. Half the Premier League is owned by Americans seeking to earn...

Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover
In the scale of football club owners I'd say that ours aren't that high up on the dread and upset scale. It's not an ideal structure (although I think many people had a very rosy view of what being taken over by private equity meant) but we're a long way from absentee owners or those facing swathes...

I don't think you can make two mistakes of that magnitude in your first five Premier League games (especially back to back) and seriously hope to make it as a Premier League goalie. Seems rash and possibly unfair to write him off so quickly but you just can't do it. Don't really care who plays as th...

I think even for the people who imagine our club can meaningfully increase its revenue abroad via Pace and JJ Watt, a 39th game abroad should be seen as a leveller in that field and not an opportunity.

Berge has been good, but he was this good for Sheffield United with very limited interest. Don't think anyone would fancy Odobert for the price we paid. We are going to be relying on teams in Europe to buy players off us, not teams in the Premier League.

Sales will be fine (probably really good). The risk of increases after crap seasons isn't immediate huge drop in numbers, it's in how it tests long term feeling from supporters to the club. I liked Jeff Hendrick but in the season we came 7th we went just shy of 3 months without a win, barely scoring a goal, with him playing off the striker. It was grim.
