Repeated examples of the OP picking out one stat, stripping away any context, and presenting it as proof a player is good. A pointless exercise.

I'm sensitive to elwa's view on this, from previous posts I know he's a considered and experienced voice on mental health. The counterpoint is this is how grifting works. Barton got loads of attention for his "controversial" remarks and the only way to sustain that attention is to keep going further...

Sales will be fine (probably really good). The risk of increases after crap seasons isn't immediate huge drop in numbers, it's in how it tests long term feeling from supporters to the club. Not likely one of ALK's priorities imo because for as long as we're bouncing between the Prem and the Champion...

Common sense from an England perspective. There isn't really anyone else available and not many would be particularly thankful for a last minute call-up to be third choice for a friendly anyway. Give your under 21 goalie the experience.

I liked Jeff Hendrick but in the season we came 7th we went just shy of 3 months without a win, barely scoring a goal, with him playing off the striker. It was grim. The run of 5 wins on the bounce that saved the season started with Wood's return from injury with Wood coming off the bench for Hendri...

I find it hard to fault Wycombe.
