They've done very well, but whenever you see a smaller club breaking through there's always a rich owner subsidising them with multi millions. Except Burnley, we're just the best club in the country.

I don't think the example of Leicester is relevant. They only won the league because they had a huge amount of Thailand's wealth given to them. The other reasons are peripheral.

It bothers me that Abramovich is a close friend and associate of Putin who has almost certainly authorised the use of chemical weapons in Britain as well as other international criminality. I don't see anything hypocritical about eating imitation chicken or bacon for vegetarians. The point of vegetarianism is to avoid eating food derived from animal slaughter and if you can make that change whilst sticking to a broadly similar diet I can't see the problem with it.

At a club I used to play for we had the referees' training programme for our sessions, and it is very hard going, certainly for amateur footballers. Very few of us could complete all the levels and we generally regarded ourselves as one of the fittest teams in the league.

There's no other club that comes close to Burnley in terms of over-achieving. Stanley maybe, but I'm not sure how much Andy Holt backs them financially. Lincoln also look like they're doing better than one might expect, but again they've got owners who have put in a fair bit of money.

I noticed that there were two Gudmunssons playing for Iceland in the 0-2 loss to Armenia on Sunday, so one of them must have been ours. One was subbed on 77 minutes but I don't think it was an injury, so hopefully Johan will be back fully fit and with a couple matches under his belt.

I think it also goes to show that Sean Dyche is a really hard act to follow, in both senses. In my view, he is probably the best manager around at the moment in terms of getting maximum return from the resources available to him.

It will be tough trying to break into an already saturated market. There is just so much football on television these days that it is hard to see how the women's game will be able to make much of an impact. Perhaps there is a niche marked though.
