Man of the match at Salford playing centre half position was a certain Jack Cork.
Obviously a lot lower standard but Jack was outstanding with distribution and positional play.

Re: FAO Mr Garlick
My question is why when we were supposedly 80 million in the black we are now 90 million in the red.
We were always a well run club I cannot grasp the new financial situation.

Re: Sam Vokes
Sam Vokes a hero for me after watching a Leeds v Burnley game in the championship about seven years ago. I was in a pub in the hostile Leeds supporting area of Scarborough at the time when Leeds opened the scoring. The pub went mad and I had to sit quietly gutted. But no up rose Big Sam and headed ho...

Re: Southgate out
I blame Southgate for Tarkowski wanting to leave Burnley.Southgate in my opinion is picking lesser ability players from more fashionable clubs ahead
of James Tarkowski for his position.Nick Pope is also finding himself in the same situation.Yes I hate Southgate.

Re: Nobby Stiles
Not only could Brian O'neil sort Nobby Stiles out,I remember Gordon Harris exchanging a few blows on him. That was in the days
when a confrontation on the pitch didn't always mean a sending off.Harris was a fearsome man to cross on the pitch and a great player.

Super Glen is an absolutely natural comical story teller.Really enjoyed the podcast humour at its best. Glen just accepted Stan for his reckless behaviour.Breath of fresh air in these claiming and compensation times. Well done Glen you are not only a great footballer but a brilliant relater of comic...

Re: Colin Blant
I also can remember the Everton game .Iron man Blant flattened quite a few Everton players on a run into the penalty area.
The referee finally blew for a foul by Big Colin and I remember him holding his arms wide in disbelief of the foul.Proper tough player.

Just a thought thinking of central midfielders.
Aaron Mooys of Huddersfield was outstanding for the Terriers
last season. He's on his final year surely he is worth a bid.

Re: Elected Mayor for Burnley?
Lets keep it as is is at present where it usually taken in turns of the longest serving councillor who hasn't been the mayor before. I cannot see the point of paying an elected mayor £80000 a year.Councillors have a hard enough task running the town with all the severe government cutbacks in grants ...

Re: Blackburn boss questions Huddersfield changes as Birmingham win
Remember being at work in the late nineties and arrogant Blackburn fans saying. "Our derbies aren't Burnley and Preston anymore but United ,City ,Liverpool and Everton". Oh how the mighty fall your derbies now could be Rochdale,Bury,Oldham and perhaps Blackpool. My God I'm loving this.Long live Venk...

I want every television fitted with a quick response turnover switch to remove Sturgeon from my living room tv.
Imagine I come home from 4 hours of a speed awareness course plus being stuck in traffic .I then put my television
on and Nicole bloody Sturgeon is in my face. Not good I have to say.

Re: Season Ticket renewal
If you renew over the phone as I did,be prepared to be charged an extra £1.60 for the privilege.
Plus the cost of the call, peanuts I know but all little extra costs.
However cannot complain my ticket as an OAP is £238 to watch our wonderful team.
