Hope we have a good team out Our home form is now getting to the stage where we need a win against decent opposition asap, and I'd play as close to a first team as possible in this one something like this: Hennessey, Lowton, Collins, Tarkowski, Taylor, JBG, Westwood, Brownhill, Cork, McNeil, Rodrig...

The team has six strikers but one is out on loan and three others are injured. One thing with Tucker is he does tend to play his best football in the first half of games and then fades, as he did tonight. Seemed just right to get Thompson on for him but it wasn't to be his night against his former ...

He was our best player when we were on top but he'd faded from the game and, in any case, this is development football. Maybe, but he definitely carried our best threat. Don’t agree with that. Everton had got on top before that.
But he was our best player, and certainly not responsible for Everton's improvement.
Unfortunately Thompson, who replaced him, gave away the free-kick from which they scored.

Tucker has really come on this season.
good to see Jensen getting a game, which is more than he's getting on loan at Carlisle (though his kicking is worse than Pope's).

We did match our points total of 54 two seasons ago let's not forget. Tes, I'm not denying any successes we have had, I'm looking at what appeared to be the policy of signing players coming to the end of their (PL) careers, players whose on-pitch contributions did not match their cost to the club.
