Re: Cost of Living
We've had to ask for even bigger donations to cover the amount of gold wallpaper we're buying. Tough times.

Who put the open goal on a plate for Weghorst at Villa?

Re: Alan….? Alan….? Are you there, Alan?
That’s your description of him, not mine, which of course you are entitled to. I believe he absolutely wants to move the club forward, from recruitment to being linked with the likes of Kompany. It’s clear to me there is a strategy there but it also isn’t easy to execute. We will know more from the...

Best of luck to Bardo. Very odd and a little concerning that we should find out from a player's wife though.

Re: Wout Weghorst
Slower than Gifton, gets eased off the ball by people half his size, misses sitters, strops in public when subbed and hardly ever wins a header, which is incredible. But what, he turned Harry Maguire once? Get rid if at all possible.

Re: Biggest donkey of all time?
We've had some absolutely shocking goalkeepers in the last 30 years. Surprised this one hasn't already been mentioned: Frank Petr Kval. FA Cup against Darlington, played at the Riverside. It was foggy and about minus 30, and we threw away a two-goal lead in the last five minutes, and might as well h...

Re: ARTICLE: Hendrick contract extended
He could only sign a pre-contract with a foreign club. I don't know what the situation is with the potential for a new contract beyond that but I do know the club would be keen to tie him down for longer. Haven't kept up to date with the rules, but is Scotland still classed as "foreign"? Could've s...

Re: ARTICLE: Lennon has had surgery
Lennon out, JBG recovering, Brady still getting back up to speed. You'd assume he'll go with JBG and Brady if he possibly can, but you'd imagine at least one of them would struggle to play all game. It'd be good to see Dwight McNeil properly involved.

Re: ARTICLE: Hendrick contract extended
Only a year's extension, presumably to prevent him signing a pre-contract with another club next month and walking away for nothing in the summer. If we want to recoup anything, we'll probably be looking at shifting him in the summer anyway.

Re: Ben Mee
The best centre half iv seen play for us, forget John Mcgreal and a teenage Cahill. If he was 6ft 2 with good distribution he would be at the very top. For my money Tarkowski's been better than him so far this season, while Keane was orders of magnitude better than him last season. But Mee once sto...

Re: Significant Stadium investment plans
I can't find any sign of anything on the LT website but it does say they are working with the council and so I would assume the town centre work falls into the council's remit. Certainly nothing to do with the club shop in town. That's not necessarily the case Tony. The council can make improvement...

Re: ARTICLE: BT to screen cup tie
Their attendances have been around the 3,500 mark this season, meaning our usual away allocation would accommodate more than two thirds of their regular home support. "Romance" and "magic" of the cup my backside. I'd tell them to jog on.

Re: Ben Mee
But for the blip at the death Mee had been outstanding. Absolutely outstanding away at Arsenal no less. Yes, it was yet another "but for the blip" performance from our Ben unfortunately, which yet again led to a crucial goal against. Tarka's surely got the right to be banging down the gaffer's door...

Just when you thought it was safe to use the internet, the name "dandeclaret" rears its head again.
Other than that, it's good to see a few "old names" popping up around here already.

Overdue.
Looks good, clean, crisp, and is usable. Well done to the bullet biters.
I'm not sure "the glory days" of CM can ever be recreated owing to the shift to social media, but like Robbo, I also feel that a functioning messageboard very much has its place.
Look forward to using.
