Have a look at the Knowledge hub. The section 'how is the contract formed with the driver' gives the answer. There is no contract because she was not the driver as they have got the wrong vehicle, end of claim.....

It really is a case of the refs & VAR knowing the rules to the ninth degree. But having no idea, or feel for the actual game itself. You could say the pitch ref did have a feel for the game as he didn't even blow for a foul. I think the Palace player dropping like a sack of spuds and staying ground...

If people read Law 12 and the description of serious foul play, which is a red card offence, you might then understand why the VAR and pitch ref made that decision.
It's the use of slow motion that exaggerates the incident that needs looking at, as Sean Dyche commented on post match.

I think it would be extremely foolish to sack VK now.
I personally think SD spent too long with us and had become bored and stale. Maybe he should have been honest with AP when he offered the new contract to him, but who would walk away from a lucrative new deal?
