Re: ARTICLE: The Great Down Under Clarets Get Together
Thanks Tony. Really looking forward to this. For Melbourne Clarets it’s our first game of the season. But with how it’s gone, added to 2am kick offs for most part of it. Bed wins.

I’ve not read the whole tread. But lots quoting about the cost. I’ve seen it mentioned. But don’t forget, in the championship, away tickets will be a lot more expensive. No more £30 cap.

It might be a "problem" this season in terms of naivety, but most of those players are still learning and developing. We will see the positives from this season in the years to come, but some people want instant success. I know that, but it’s this season we’re discussing. We just needed a little mo...

Wouldn't have improved our goal tally much though. :D Truth is it's virtually impossible to rebuild a squad capable of competing above the bottom 5...6 in the PL on what we have spent. “Impossible to build a squad capable of competing above the bottom 5…6” Reality is, we only needed to compete abov...

The first ever get together of what became Melbourne Clarets happened on this day 10 years ago. The first of many great Clarets ni...

Not seen it either but from reading the online comments about it the only 2 cases for the drop ball going to the keeper are: 1. If the incident happens in the area 2. If the last touch was in the area By all accounts Hudson odoi had the ball under control in the wing so if that is true then yes the...

Perhaps one day the PL will be expanded a bit from 20 up by letting others apply to enter. And the divisions a bit like the nfl with play-offs and a superbowl type PL final, keeps more clubs in contention for longer and no relegation. Could go to say 36 teams which I think the nfl number. Non of this would be required if players and their agents weren’t taking mega millions out of the game.
We’d have top class stadiums & affordable tickets. And possibly a sporting chance on the field for all 20 teams, not just the “big 6”

Back of a fag packet numbers. They’ve made 57 correct interventions in 230 games. If the ref makes a decision every minute, some including play-on. We have 20,700 decisions. This means the game is going to hell in a hand cart for the sake of 0.00005% (I made that number up) decisions.
