I remember to this day a match report in the People newspaper in the 65-66 season where Clarets had won 4-0 against Sunderland at Roker Park where the Report headline was 'So brilliant, Burnley'. The Reporter was Len Noad and he gave 5 or 6 players in the Clarets Team marks of 10 out 10, and the re...

Good or bad it means they are playing teams further up the table.
Some of them will be going for European football and some will be on the beach.

Done well it is funny and nobody gets hurt.
Nowadays it is usually just offensive and somebody does get hurt, mentally. The pain nobody sees.

Make that 0-2. Nob Enders and QPR playing each other in a draw, currently, have both gone above them. 15th and falling.

So pleased that France have been made to play Scotland this weekend. Would have been so unfair for France to have these players back whilst Scotland had already signed up to release players back to their clubs for the alternate date. If the FA had told Fulham to turn up we, probably, would have beat...

Huw.....the answer to your question is the perimeter wall was moved back at the end of the 1960/61 season. For a more detailed explanation, take a look at the Burnley FC in Pictures thread (Page 12 about two-thirds of the way down). Cheers, Royboy. I knew you wouldn’t let me down. I’ll go and check...

Terrible situation, LCP. Thank goodness he had the sense to take himself to a safe place and good luck to him.
There was a good thread started a while back on this subject but I’ll never find it now. If anybody can remember it’s title they might care to share it in here.

Anybody know the history of the CFS supports? They are in the stand on the video. Later Ray Pointer ran into one when they weren’t. Not being an engineer I’d guess they took the crowd back a bit and exposed them. Because of Pointers accident were they then wrapped or moved again?

I drove down that road when in LA a year or two ago, it’s a bit hilly but it’s a residential estate so not really the kind of road to be scorching down. 45 limit I think. A bit hard to see how a single car can overturn in broad daylight while keeping to the speed limit, but we’ll see. For now, hope...

That was the worst officiated match I’ve seen in a long time. Brighton using body weight on CP players at every opportunity. Many were legal but far too many were pushes that they got away with. Friend then gave Brighton a FK for a foul by Milojevic, where he never touched the opponent, a throw in, ...

It only needed one change. Dwight to stay on his wing and attack his FB. Any team down to 10 needs stretching. Dwight infield played right into their hands.
