Re: ALK Capital or Farnell/Elkashashy takeover

Think the northern powerhouse ideal was over egged. Yes. ALK have an interest in contributing to the local and wider economy but not some mind blowing, seismic shift as DJW was suggesting. Although I get the point he was trying to make. I think everyone will be pleased come the end of January and be...

To be honest. Pleased. Nothing more as I knew we'd pull it together. Speaking to my Spurs mate who's been giving me a gentle ribbing and he knows we're nowhere near bad enough to be near the bottom 10, let alone 3.

Thanks Paul. Seems very cheap! It's a direct result of Covid. Taking everything into account and losses incurred. Every business has taken a hit. I believe the original bid was around £350 million pre-covid. It wouldn't affect investment in future players and the infrastructure. In fact. It could b...

The 2nd bid has stole a march it seems. They submitted to the PL at the start of this week. Assuming they clear the PL stringent rules. It doesn't make them favourites per se, but I would think MG would like this sorted before the new window. It generally takes a few weeks to clear. If ALK want to b...

Regards to the bids. One is based on community, strengthening what's already been achieved and taking it to a new level we couldn't have done with the current board. Think of it in computer parlance as a Dyche Plus Extra upgrade. The other. A bit more fast and loose and therefore more fraught with d...

My take on that from what little we know or think we know. ALK woukd invest in a slower more pragmatic way...perhaps in the mould of Brentford. Buying wisely and within our relative means. Makes sense. That site is error strewn and worse to navigate than before. I thought it was odd loaning out a loanee.
