And what are the reasons not to change the terminology which are littering this thread?
I admire your persistence Rilybobs. Your arguments are solid but you might as well be whistling into the wind with the folk here.

Chelsea v Leicester as well as some other games.
Ridiculous that Leicester’s away kit is so similar to their home kit. At least it is not as hideous as some of the other away kits for example, Arsenal’s.

Luck? Or good management and recruitment?
A bit of both I imagine. If it’s more good management that hopefully augurs well for next season despite what’s happened this.

Incredible really. Ian Maatsen heading for a Champions League quarter final. Meanwhile Nathan Tella is on his way to winning a Bundesliga title.
Just shows the luck we had with the quality of loanees last season.

16 games but don't know if he actually started them all.
This maybe only the first or second game he’s started in the league. Most apps from the bench and often late substitutions. His goals/assists to minutes must already be very impressive.

Honestly, don’t understand Leeds they’ve got literally seconds to go and they won’t even boot the ball up into the opposition box instead they’re just playing it around the back as if they’re ever going to score, a goal that way.

I’m pretty sure ‘elite’ managers have more important criteria than the general area they would live in when considering job opportunities. You could apply your reasoning to any Premier League club and then question why it’s the strongest league in the world. I was imagining myself as Alonso. I like...

Come to think of it would Alonso actually go to Barcelona bearing in mind he is a Real Madrid legend? Hmmm, that just leaves Munich, but Bavaria would be a great place to live. Beats Merseyside i would imagine.

Why would Alonso come to the north of England when he can choose Munich or Barcelona?

Wasn’t it what Ali used to do in some of his fights
Ali vs. Foreman. The rumble in the jungle. The phrase was “rope a dope”, the dope being Foreman.

Getting really interesting in the Championship. Ipswich seem to have got over their slump and it's Leeds v Leicester on Friday night at Elland Road.
That should be a cracker. Still, it’s looking good for the 3 relegated clubs.

Tella looked absolutely electric against Bayern Munich. Playing on the shoulder and his link up play and assist were sublime. For the price of tresor and probably obafemi (who will both not contribute to this season in any way, shape or form) we could have had him. (If he’d have wanted to Come of c...

How does one distinguish a “scouse whinger” from a Burnley supporting message board whinger, as illustrated by the op? (Other than by accent of course.)

2-0 Leverkusen, Tella assist. The decision not to get him looks increasingly bad (and I was one that thought 20 million was too much for him) He’s hardly played for them up until after the winter break. Due to injuries (and Afcon maybe?) he’s come in and made an instant impact, in fact he’s been se...

Just won't happen. Another issue is it's not as if the land our current stadium is built in is worth masses and would have developers climbing over each other in desperation to buy it.
Maybe even clambering over each other…
