Re: Another massive transition required?
The problem we have is that the majority of our squad are untried at Prem level. If they swim we need relatively few… if they sink we need a whole new team. For now we just have to assume the successes this season will also be successes next season. (Benson,Zaroury,Cullen,Vitinho,Brownhill,Muric) Ri...

I find myself with similar emotions to Bolton after the Coyle saga. Historically I have a relative soft spot for the club but they screwed us so let karma take its course.
Them following Bolton into the 3rd tier would be fitting. And every misfortune leads to a feeling of schadenfreude.

It is why they keep potting their managers after a couple of years. Not had any stability since Poch who got them to Champ League final but that wasn’t enough.

I know I’m totally biased but I can’t help thinking it would be a catastrophic move. He would need to win something to be successful which has eluded some of the best managers in the world. The squad is getting older. Sooner or later Kane will start to tail off and the rest of the squad misfires on ...

Re: ARTICLE: Clubs should hang their heads in shame over derby tickets
Tha FA have rules about away tickets for the FA Cup. The EFL should have rules that prohibit what Blackburn are doing. There should be a fixed percentage (the biggest currently) and the away team should either pay up for those tickets or say they can’t fill them and return the to the home team in pl...

Points systems that have been running a long time end up being unfair in their own way.
It is a “how old are you” system by another name.
And to me that is not the way to encourage new fans. If allocated on highest first then i doubt there would have been a fan under 45 with a ticket.

It is not so much the conspiracy theory that needs questioning so much as the official version of the truth. I do wonder why they have done it. Fear, envy, embarrassment or spite are all possible motives. I think it shows a complete misunderstanding of the football fan. Taylor is our best defensive left back but doesn't offer enough going forward in the way that VK plays. I know this is a weird take on it but have we saved ourselves £30m. All the talk before the game was about buying Breyer, Tella and Maatasen for upwards of 15m a pop. I think that match has shown they are nowhere near that bracket and Tella alone possibly halved in value in one game. From £20m + sta...

It shows how far we’ve come that an up and coming young player doing well in the 3rd tier is not likely to get a sniff of our 1st team even as 4th choice.
Probably best for him to move there permanently for an ok sized fee.

I can see BPF, Twine and Taylor all being in the squad and Vitinho being used as RB cover which brings the incoming list right down. It you have assumed us turning 3 loans into players so I think it is realistic.
I think CM is the key area to improve.

Taking a step back I think it is the complexity of the ownership model that is responsible. On the surface we should have done well financially this last 12 months. Football is not a hugely complex business as such. But our finance model is like a 3 card trick. Accounts should be a clear reporting o...

Yes and by some distance. We have great movement great tactics great team spirit and a great manager. It isn’t all about the individual players. The teams that get relegated often self destruct.

I think he is making the mistake of too much media. Everyone only has so much to say and i think we’ve heard all he has. The story hasn’t progressed… but the same could be said for Pep or Klopp. Each manager has only so much innovation. Fergie mastered it by not talking too much about his philosophy...
