Re: Battling point but the bottom 3 looking vulnerable
We were poor again today, quite raggy to get a point. We are going to be there, or there abouts all season. I'm not being funny here or trying to be overly wearing the claret-tinted glasses, but when you say 'again we've been poor ' it's as if every week we've played badly. Do you really think we'v...

Re: Battling point but the bottom 3 looking vulnerable
Apart from one moment of quality, by Cornet, to get the 2nd equaliser, we were awful. Worst performance of the season by a mile. Isn't the real point (apols for the pun) that most of the games this season we've played well for little return. I look at the point today as something more positive that...

You're right there, Claretincraven. My son's a mate of Max O'Dowd. They played together in club cricket in Notts and Max is very much a Kiwi from Auckland. Re: Let's compare this season's results to last
I dunno if there are 4/5 teams with squads less capable than us this season. Norwich on yesterdays display only slightly with Leeds about equal and we have yet to see how we fare against Watford, Newcastle, Palace and Southampton. I think we are better than those teams you mention Marty Dobson. If ...

Let's compare this season's results to last
So, everyone is banging on about how dreadful the start to this season. How bad is it compared to last season, though, where we started with only 2 points from the first 8 games (our score first); 2019-20 Leicester (A) 2-4 Soton (H) 0-1 Man C (H) 0-3 Newcastle (A) 1-3 WBA (A) 0-0 (and how bad was th...

Utter pillock. As the pundits said, we don't want to go back to last season where you brush past someone and the ref gives a free kick. Interesting piece on the BBC Sport website about the value of a good start to the season (at both the top and bottom of the table) with an analysis of the last 20 seasons and, for the teams at the bottom, specifically looking at how the promoted teams have done. Apparently only 2 promoted sides have...
