Re: Anyone Seen Trainspotting 2 Yet?
I saw it on Friday night and was pleasantly surprised, as there have been so many sequels that have been dreadful. It didn't have the in your face shock factor/cult element of the first one but I didn't think it would ever be able to replicate that and they would have been foolish to have tried. Tha...

Re: How long until the Soaps are finished
I watched Coronation Street, and to a lesser extent Eastenders regularly as a kid/teenager, mainly due to my grandparents and mum being fans but since then I haven't bothered. I have to admit if I ever turn the TV on and see Eastenders it usually makes me laugh, somebody is either in tears or offeri...

Re: Today's Brexit vote
He certainly his being opportunistic Guich, in fact I would say he's being bloody desperate. I actually think it's quite smart from a domestic point of view, the Lib Dems are a non-entity right now, is it 8 MPs that they have? Pushing an issue that is high on the agenda for 48% (give or take) of th...

Re: Today's Brexit vote
I think, speaking to friends and colleagues, that quite a lot of moderate remainers would switch to leave if they had another chance. I'm in that category and it'd be a real dilemma for me. The claim that more leave voters didn't understand what they were voting for than remain voters is weak. Yes ...

Re: Today's Brexit vote
Don't want to get into pedantry here but when the result is 48 52 keep saying the country is split, which is a tactic of the bbc, over and over again doesn't reflect the truth or the result. It's simply down to maths or perhaps more accurately if you accept the result. Burnley beating Southampton b...

Re: Today's Brexit vote
If only it was as simple as that Ringo. Anyone who compares a game of football to a generation changing decision for 67 million people doesn't really get it. You might as well debate with your garden fence, Lancaster. I get the feeling Ringo views the entire Brexit debate with the same partisan tri...

How much did we get for John Cofie, wasn't he a similar age? Or does compensation not count as a transfer fee?

I tend to go for either Erdinger or Dortmunder which are around £3.40 but I know what you mean, there are cheaper alternatives available.Siddo wrote:It's 2 quid a pint or 2.50 for an excellent guest beer. Cutsy says "snob pub". Bloody hell , where does he drink then?

Re: The Bridge Bier Huis Pub - Burnley
Why is it that good? What sets it a art from the other pubs in and around town? Not a dig just curious. Admittedly I don't go in as much as I used to but a few years ago I'd be down there every Friday or Saturday night (or both) and it was always far busier than any other pub I'd visit in Burnley, ...

If The Bridge is struggling then all the other landlords in Burnley might as well write it off as a bad job.
*I very much doubt it's struggling.

Re: The lure of Turf Moor.
As a student I've lived in both Leicester and Manchester (spanning from Coyles first full season until towards the end of Howe's tenure), and since graduating I spent a bit of time living in Chester for work. I never really missed Burnley when I was a student even though I was absent for the whole o...

He's probably right, I don't see why a potential investor wouldn't consider a club like us. The problem for the fans and current board is sorting out the Abramovich type buyer from the Venky type.

Re: Today's Brexit vote
I've no figures to back it up but I would suspect, to a large extent, the labour voters were not those generally voting to remain. I agree with this, from my experience and people I've spoken to the 'traditional' Labour voters will have voted Leave. The really left-wing (and arguably younger) Corby...

Re: Today's Brexit vote
I'm a member of a group on FB in which somebody posted an email exchange they'd had with Julie Cooper, after asking her if she intended to 'vote against Brexit'. Anyway, after some back and forth in which the person writing to Cooper accused her of ducking the question, JC sent a final email clarify...

Voted remain and probs JUST about vote the same. However being one for respecting a vote it's a shame those paragons of virtuosity and democracy( lefties and luvvies etc)have squealed and bitched and stomped their feet. Imagine how refreshing and positive if Corbyn and co actually said " we don't l...

Re: Would you vote the same again?
One reason why it might be a rocky road is that remoaners will still be bleating about it in years to come instead of just getting on with it. Some will try their damned hardest for it not to work just so they can say "Told you so" As opposed to knuckling down and sorting things out such as trade d...

We very sadly lost our two Rhodesian ridgebacks ( which are exceptional dogs) over the past couple of years. Now we feel it is time to bring some new life in to our home. We decided against getting ridgebacks again as we didn't want to be constantly comparing them with & being reminded of our previ...

My parents have had a lurcher for the last 10 years and I love him to bits but I don't think I will ever be able to have one myself. I've only seen the last 3 and for me it's 2009 as well, purely for the endless drama. The other two, whilst I enjoyed every minute of it, it just wasn't quite the same.

I always thought Tomorrowland attracted around 180,000 festival goers each year? being bigger than Glastonbury in terms of numbers anyway, I would absolutely love to go to it as well!
