If the bonuses are paid into their account maybe, but not if they are invested. They find ways around it so they are taxed less on it than they are wages.

The kind of fault you have is usually very easy to repair. I repaired mine by doing a motherboard swap with one from eBay.. It may also be the power board though.

Sometimes it's even a case of replacing a few capacitors.
