Went about 12 years ago for my wife's birthday-we went Monday to Friday with 4 nights in Rome. Just perfect in April. Already warm but not over crowded THe lessons I learned were, be careful if you book a smaller hotel. I booked a 3 star and it was horrific. Would have struggled to meet Health & Saf...

Re: Wolves sack Bruno Lage
SD is very much old school-just listen to his many podcasts. The longer he is unemployed, the harder I believe it will be for him to manage a PL club. Brilliantly successful for us for the first 7 of his 9 years with us, but set in his ways about players, loans, style of football, tactics, and has n...

Re: Ashley Barnes
If Dervislogu is injured it makes no sense to play Barnes ahead of Costelloe. Playing Costelloe sends out a great message to all the Burnley U-21's, raises the value of the player for being 19 and playing in the Championship, and gives the lad great experience, so that when we do need to start him i...

Tonight both Steve Bruce and Chris Wilder must be fearing for their jobs. Before the Championship started this season, many pundits would have seen WBA and Boro as promotional challengers

Re: We’re not good enough to go up
Fair point, this. Maybe one for VK to bring Beyer on for Maatsen and play Charlie wide left. Seemed to have more of a go at the wingers/forwards in the post match interview though. I think a back four of Roberts THB Beyer and Taylor would be as strong as anything in this Division, and would love to...

Dont think we can blame Barnes, but why does VK persevere with him. Whats happened to Dervisoglu-he is a striker who is 22 and already scored 62 goals in the top flight including 6 for his country. We are paying Brentford £1m for currently NOT even being in the squad

Re: We’re not good enough to go up
Already posted above, main point being we need to play our strongest back four. What I would say this is the weakest Championship I have seen in many years, with many "ordinary" sides from whom we should be taking 3 points not one.Sort the defence and those one points become 3

Would disagree but its only going to happen if we play 4 proper defenders in defence. VK needs to stand up and make some tough decisions-for me the back four after 10 games picks itself Roberts THB Beyer Taylor We have lost 4 points through late goals v WBA, Cardiff. We have also conceded too many g...

Having succeeded in getting two orthodox centre halves to play together surprised VK has gone for Taylor back in as I am not convinced he is a natural CH. What strikes me at listening to his podcasts is "how old school" he is as a manager. Hugely influenced by people who he has played with him over the years, and by managers like Brian Clough. Agree. He has many forward attributes, however, he is a centre back. Job is head and block first. Create 2nd. Lack of pace - use your experience and positional sense to be there first. Both Steve Davies and Ben Mee were particularly slow, but through experience and positional play were rarely exposed
