Watford look to be in a real slump at the moment, I can't see Max Gradel being the man to turn it round. Apart from Sunderland's comedy back four, they're the worst team at the Turf this season.

I agree the pricing is excellent but for those who have to travel, it's still just a Burnley XI v Sunderland reserves on a Tuesday night.Walton wrote:Why have we sold so few?

We'll have peaked in my lifetime of following Burnley if we finish 17th in May. A lot of tough points need to be ground out before then.

Re: The lure of Turf Moor.
There is something about Burnley that keeps you coming back, it's only a 100 mile round trip for us so not too bad compared to some. Obviously the home of football is the main reason but the town itself is so different to its reputation. I grew up in Accy but feel no nostalgia for the place at all, ...

We're a lot more 'streetwise' than we've ever been. The best example this season was when Lowton or Flanagan sneaked back into Palace's half of the pitch to tie his laces after we'd scored to delay the restart.

Re: Man U doing a "Burnley"
United have more than one way to play, like us. It's not 2008, possession is just for stattos now.
Honestly, the way some managers and fans go on you'd think 'controlling' and 'dominating' the play is hugely more important than winning matches.

Re: Has Costa had his head turned by offer from China?
Doesn't really matter to me. As long as Burnley win on a Saturday I'm happy. The world's best play in Spain now, soon they might play in China. If we win today I doubt many people will walk off the Turf thinking 'that was ok but not as satisfying as when the skill level was imperceptibly higher in 2...

It's a strange one, you only read how it's continually at crisis point, the worst ever, morale at an all time low, no resources, no funding. But every time I've used it, either for myself or mostly for the kids, it's been absolutely brilliant. Even up to last week. And for all it's apparently been p...

Re: New Bob Lord stand
There's plenty of clubs in the Championship and League One with empty new stands after one or two seasons in the Prem.
The main reason I'm against it though - apart from there being no need - is that it'd block the classic view of the terraced streets and the moors from the Longside.

The Colchester game followed a 0-0 v Peterborough a few days earlier. I can't believe anyone who sat through that went to the next one. I don't remember a single pass being completed. You really should come and watch us ablue. Defour has more skill than Blake, Ings or Elliot. Gray has more pace and power than we've seen before. And Keane is the most complete centre half we've had in the last 30 years.
If you had a seat at the Turf, they'd get you off it.

I'm alright with swapping between the two. The ground redevelopment and everything at Gawthorpe is all thanks to those Premier League Sky subscribers. The first half at Brentford was like that first half against Forest a couple of years ago, but with better goals. That's enough to win it for me.
Huddersfield was the classic ruthless, efficient away performance from a side on its way up, I bet Dyche enjoyed that one.
