Think that is a perfect description to be honest.
A great leader, calm head, gets a shift out of his team which most fans will take when things elsewhere are struggling.
Still can’t get his team to win after falling behind though.

Vk had amassed over 100 appearances for anderlecht and Hamburg by time he was 21 and made his debut for Belgium 1st team at 18. Burnley have thus far conceded 55 goals, the worst defensive record apart from bottom club Sheffield United. VK may well have an impressive record as a player but the stat...

This group of cowards won’t get us back up but I’m hoping I’m wrong I agree. I just have this nagging feeling that VK may have been a “one season wonder” and what we saw last season will be as good as it is going to get. I cannot see us running away with the league with a team of 18-24 year olds, s...

Breaking News that Roy Hodgson has also decided to step down as Crystal Palace boss with immediate effect. Not entirely unexpected given his age and health scare but I wish him well and a full recovery.

It always intrigues me how players become better players when they're not playing.
Muric?
We should get around £60m for this lad he becomes a better keeper every time Trafford plays.

Adebayo £250k signing from Walsall.

I enjoy watching games involving Man Utd in 2024 usually plenty of goals and attacking football. Luton reacting brilliantly making it end to end football.
More goals in 2nd half hopefully.

Yes. They've come to a bit recently and I expect a tough afternoon for Luton.
But they (Luton) seem to have a bit more steel than us, so we shall see.
Yeah, took United 37 Seconds to break them down.

Despite all of the flak directed at the club and manager Manchester United have had some good results in 2024. A lot of pace in attack and a striker in form.

The main problem (which I highlighted a while ago now) was that the players with PL experience that played in the Championship were coming towards the end of their careers, and had one final season in them as a swan song. Ashley Barnes a case in point. Part of the summer recruitment should have incl...

"they always have been" Bullshit. European finish and 10th place finish under Dyche. On a pittance budget wise. Burnley FC didn't begin when ALK took over the club, no matter how much they like to erase the history and accomplishments of what came before and pretend that their vision of "Europe in ...

You would have thought Luton would have been the stand out side to go down with a very low points total. However their ability to take a risk on a few experienced players, their fight and spirit, and the leadership and motivation of their very talented young manager all exceed the bringing in of so...

I don’t understand it. Some people say the players aren’t good enough and want them out. Others say it’s the manager and want him out. My take on it... Even Jesus couldn't save us now so there's no point in swapping. VK has shown his inexperience this year, very naive. Both Sheffield United and Luton showing far much more fight and hunger to get points on the board.

Vincent Kompany isn’t the first world class player to find managing at the top level beyond his capabilities at the highest level and I’m sure he won’t be the last.
Unfortunately, Alan Pace bought into all the hype so Burnley are stuck with him for the foreseeable.

Reading some of the comments on the Trafford thread everything would have turned sour very quickly, so he cannot be responsible for keeping milk fresh.

Well it was nothing like an open goal, so let’s start with that. And then go with the fact Fofana scored twice last week and made his first start today. Trafford had been here all season and cost us on a number of occasions. Maybe that’s why Trafford is getting more heat. Fofana was brought in as a...

No he isn't. All the saves bar 1 are routine. Legs save was OK but all keepers in prem get those.
If you are referring to the save that Trafford made in the first half, he got a good strong left hand to that to keep it out. Nothing to do with his legs.

According to Michael Dawson who was covering the game for Sky, Fofana missed a couple of golden opportunities to get Burnley back in the game at 1-2, one chance being described as “an open goal”.
No stick for Fofana though, losing the match was entirely down to a goalkeeper error by Trafford.
