Re: Squad values
Seems a reasonable list. No doubts some of those values are fair, some a little high (Trafford) and some a little low (Odobert). If we don’t get a bidder, we don’t sell. The problem comes is if there is a clause like Leeds had which lets loads go out on loan. That’s my bigger worry. I can’t see us s...

Probably the appropriate time to do my usual thing and remind us that the VAR was from Nottingham, and it is one of their clubs we are trying to catch. It was obvious in real time watching it on US TV that Muric, already 30 yards outside his goal, would be there first, and I out that on the match th...

Think the nail hit on the head is the suggestion that it all depends on whether they know what they are doing, not just the finances but running a top football club in the “wild west” of multi million pound transfer dealings. The jury hasn’t yet heard all the evidence on that one let alone been sent...

Anything with Burnley Football Club can be answered with a question… Does it make money? No? Then we won't do it. Yes but clever business people realise that money can be made indirectly as a longer term cause and effect. For example, getting the fans enthusiastic, energised and enjoying meeting th...

Just had a look at those minutes conceded. We are not outliers from minutes 30-45. We have 8 scored and 12 conceded. Similar to several. Don’t know about just the last few minutes of the half. However where we ARE outliers (with Sheffield) is minutes 76-90. We have 6 scored and 18 conceded. But our ...

I'll predict here, with no way of proving one way or the other, that if the bottom three had performed better this season the points deductions would have been at different levels because none of these authorities or commissions want it to define a relegation. Two things clear as day:
1. Muric, and I am a huge fan, cost us the game with a clanger worthy of non league.
2. Any poster on here is allowed to rate that however they like without ridicule. Losing points due to the avoidable, crucial and defining nature of it, seems sensible.

We are seeing in the Liverpool United game examples of what I wrote above, that many teams get punished playing it out and it isn’t the reason why we are 2nd bottom. Looks like it may cost Liverpool the title.
I’m sure these managers all still believe in their approaches though.

We don’t know who would have Wout clauses but that seems less likely with younger players. The big danger is Leeds style relegation loans which leaves us in the doo doo. Interesting debate about Kompany and Dyche above, but it is harsh to call Everton a terrible team. They are TOP on expected goals scored from set pieces, near bottom on expected goals conceded.
