Re: Lincoln tickets
I live in Nuneaton, more than enough aggro with Lincoln fans, closed half the town down once when playing the Boro, locked in pubs by Police and everything, before kick off! They should realise they are way above their football status,This is Premier League Burnley get real and accept where and who you...

Re: O/T People that arrive at work...
I started a new job last month and it is very difficult to be late. Requirement is to work 7 hours per day, between 7am and 7pm. Want a longer lunch break, no problem, just make up the hours. Quite handy if you want to use the gym or other facilities on site. I found out today that the building I wo...

Re: Pub for Watford Game
First time i went to Watford (Waddles first game 1997) there were a couple of Watford lads giving it large from the pub opposite the away end. That ended when a Burnley fan put his fist through the window. Managed a beer in the Odd Fellows on Sat, decent enough garden out the back otherwise it's on ...

Re: Best opposition player seen live.
Dennis Bergkamp was still at Ajax when we played them at The Turf in a end of season friendly to celebrate winning the 4th division. He is listed in the squad on the back of the programme but I don't recall him making an appearance. Bergkamp didn't play. He was at the Euro 92 finals with the Dutch ...

Re: Dyche should get manager of the year if we stop up
Last season his team were League Champions, top scorers in the division, joint least goals conceded, won more games than any other team and went half a season unbeaten. They still didn't give him the award so not much chance this season. For some reason they decided that the manager of a team who los...

We had a rare child free last night so took the opportunity of heading out to see it. Enjoyed it very much, good follow on from the first film and Robert Carlyle plays the psychopath Begbie superbly.

Re: Your first Clarets away game.
Not 100%. Def did the Bury cup game in 1980. First without parents was Carlisle on Boxing Day either 80 or 81. Viscount Central coach only just made it through the snow. I was 11 or 12 years old. Remember it kicked off outside a pub shortly after we arrived and sure we went 3 down in the first half....

Re: Were you here...?
My mate Brian and myself run the supporters coaches back then. Brian was concerned that it was Bank Holiday weekend which then would bring notoriously heavy traffic on the M5. He decided a midnight departure might be in order to ensure getting there in ample time. After it was all organised, Torqua...

Always an interesting discussion comparing players from different eras. Often hear the argument that modern players couldn't do it on bog like pitches, heavy footballs and agricultural tackling. Counter that, how good could the older players be with modern diet, fitness levels, lighter balls and muc...

Defoe handed a transfer request on the coach home after West Ham were relegated at Birmingham so he is just the sort to jump ship given the chance.
