Re: ARTICLE: Attwell at the Turf for Chelsea game
Thought this may have been the headline from the home game against Chelsea in the '48/'49 season. Reg scored a rare goal that day and it was a special strike, one which Dad spoke about on many occasions.

Just prefer Tommy Boyle over Tommy Cummings over a last minute heading winner, so there we are, 1-0 to '20/'21.

Re: ARTICLE: Jimmy Robson played his cards right
If that’s a serious question then my answer would be that I think it is impossible to compare teams ( and players ) from different eras. All I can say is that our 20/21 and 59/60 teams were the best in England at that time. Just as our 2022/23 team were the best in The Championship last season. Not...

Your reply wasn’t to me, and I understand the point you’re making, but the Premier League era attendances aren’t the best example. By that I mean we were restricted by capacity. My boyhood hero! I had a picture of him completing his hat trick in a 5 2 win at Fulham in December 1965. He was smiling for the camera as he smashed the ball home. Dobo's goal just before half time was the outstanding moment of the game, hitting a 23 yard shot on the run into the far corner.
