Would definitely recommend 'The Dark Stuff' the Nick Kent book referenced in the link above. The Barrett piece in there is very well written and insightful.

There are at least a couple of biographies - 'A Very Irregular Head' by Rob Chapman is the best IMO

Ironic really - left at the end of last season because he couldn't get enough game time - would have been a regular starter this season. He would definitely have considerably softened the blow of missing Brady and especially Ward - in terms of the level of protection he would have given Taylor.

As a team players, manager and coaching staff we reached the limit of our collective ability about 12 months ago. I don't think confidence is as big a factor as some might suggest. It would perhaps help with decision making in some situations but at this level confidence only really comes into play ...
