Dyche was widely reported to be on 100k a week in his final contract with Burnley - I find it hard to believe that after winning the Championship last season, Kompany signed a deal for less than what his predecessor was paid. With this horrific season it's difficult to work out how anybody or anything can be described as a success anything but. Some players on odd occasions fleetingly have done slightly better than their counterparts if you are being generous.

Pace gave Kompany a new contract until 2028. So sacking him now would mean being prepared to pay off four years worth of his no doubt very high wages. Pace would probably need to take out another loan to cover that - and find a new manager and coaching staff on top of that. Can't see how it happens...
