Similar to warnock given the results a stay of execution would have gone on but go out on a high 2 away results albeit 1 being a draw, both on borrowed time but leaving with head upright on shoulders.

True to a certain degree, I just don’t see some teams being involved at the end or even being remotely close I could be wrong & time will definitely tell if I’m right or wrong, I just think Leeds & Newcastle will have too much about them.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 12:02 ameveryone outside the usual top 10 is a relegation rival

Eddie’s a good egg all in all & for sure Newcastle could do a lot worse he could be getting viewed as a short solution pending see this season out & assess at the end whether to extend or part, I’d expect results to improve on that basis as a incentive.

Hadn't he only managed Sheff Utd in the PL at the time? And he was only relegated because West Ham cheated. Also, I'm comparing him to Laws who'd never managed a PL game and just been sacked in the Championship. What he also neglects to mention is that the clubs he did manage at PL level could be 1...

No. Like I say, from a spectator’s point of view I would happily scrap VAR and accept that my team will be on the end of some bad decisions. And even we are to persist VAR, which we will, I would like to see close offside calls like the one on Wood today, and at Leicester, go with the on-field deci...

It was the 'not a prayer' bit at the end which suggests you think Leeds are a long way ahead of us in terms of quality. That's why I thought you were just on the wind up. I think the point of all these offsides when players are level, is because the powers that be believe that there are too many goals being scored when players are level with the defender, and you get a better game of football if these goals are disallowed. However long it takes. 31 years ago, they c...

Things change rapidly in football, not so long ago going on to the Sheffield United forum Chris wilder was the best thing since sliced bread & held by many in a godlike status, when all said & done football is a results based business.
