Im sure fans of nearly every club in the Premier League could come up with lists of overseas signings that havent worked and have cost their club a lot of money. I suspect looking at that list that only Defour will have stung us financially.

Thats what I thought. So 4 signings from abroad in nearly 8 years. Thats an amazing stat for any club these days let alone one that has spent 5 of the 8 seasons in the Premier League. Whatever the rationale , it's working. From where we were to where we are is quite incredible.

Adam Phillips has impressed me with the U23s.Hes currently on loan at Morecambe.I was surprised though to see that he is already 22 so maybe his chance with us at first team level is slim.He has quite a list of clubs behind him for his age as well
