Re: Subs

Inability to close out games from winning positions is going to be the theme for this season along with bizarre substitutions. Bringing a winger on in the dieing minutes to hold on to the win and then bringing on Cork when we desperately need to respond to the goal. Maybe putting Cork on instead if ...

Re: Mike Tresor

I was pleased when we signed him because of his record last season and his performance against us in the pre season friendly. But he has the heart of a chicken. I have never seen a player swerve so much to avoid the ball that was kicked towards him and have such frailty in possession. I can't unders...

Kept on trying fancy flicks and clever dummies that failed every time. Needs to be braver, keeping the ball under pressure and using it better.

As mentioned above, certainly not unpopular. Did a decent job steadying the ship when we found ourselves broke. Tended to have us playing with the handbrake on and probably needed to move on when he did. Good manager though. I was once on one of Willie Irvines prematch ground tours with Mrs CM in th...

One of the all time guests. Graceful, technically brilliant player who could dictate play from a sweeper position (that he seemed to initiate), with his arm in a sling. RIP.

It was a stupid decision to throw out as Muric did but Amdouni completely crumpled under pressure when he had what looked to be decent control.

Strange game in lots of ways. Spurs had lots of the ball around our area and really didn't create much, whilst we were poor in the final third but created the most clear cut chances.

We do seem to have changed our style of play since last season. We were playing before with 3 central midfielder and supplementing this with Roberts, this season we have basically used 2 plus a number 10. Also last season we had a sparkling left back backing Zaroury. I think the change has stifled Z...

Easily the best player I have seen in Burnleys claret and blue. When he was given the ball their was excitement in the crowd and he rarely disappointed. Shed a tear or two when I heard he had been transferred.
