my curiosity is aroused - if not ALK/VSL then who?
Be assured not ALK......probably best to add little else on here.
Chester, how do you see the current situation playing out with particular regard to the Indian authorities ?

I can think of at least two occasions, one where CJ Egan-Riley missed the initial opportunity to go on loan to PSV due to an admin error. Another time was when the club was punished with a transfer embargo over not submitting accounts.
Transfer embargo?......ALK in no way responsible.

Just looked they’ve got a Facebook group called Venky’s and Waggot Out ,they’ve got 61 members.
They should be very careful what they wish for.
Without Venky's they would be long gone.

Simply a ridiculous situation that was allowed to play out with the player.
After 14 years of propping up the club Venky's knew full well at that date that finance was unavailable to complete the transfer and, for that matter, any future transactions in the immediate future.

Is that from the Venky's by choice, or due to legal constraints ?
Purely legal.......Venky's have been more than accommodating to Blackburn over many years.
Now circumstances appear to have changed.

Yes, of course that situation can only be temporary.
Perhaps Rovers are just hoping, like Mr. Micawber, that
"something will turn up".
(Was it Micawber?)
Past the point of no return........at least that's the verdict in India.......no more £20m pocket money.

Yes, that's the thinking .... 50% up front so £9m due straight away, and the £500k fee from the sale of Ennis to Stoke was to cover the loan fee to Orlando City. By the Summer, I suspect they're hoping the Court case will be settled .. I hadn't seen the run in before, Jesus ! They need to get to 50...

The Venky's have several other choices. One, they could have cut wages sufficiently that the club wasn't running at a loss any more. Two, they could decide to cut their losses and let the club go into administration. Three, they can deliberately follow the policy they have been following of subsidi...

5/2/1921, Burnley 7 Aston Villa 1. Champions that season. Another top class side to represent Burnley, several names there that also won the FA Cup just before WW1. I would not trade all the defeats for our wins in 59/0 and 1973 Charity Shield. Obviously the 59/60 win was massive and the 73 win was pretty special. Also the 5-2 win in City’s relegation season was most enjoyable. I was at all 3 of those games and no Defeat however large can take them away. But n...

I remember that guard of honour. If you look at the smiles on the player's (and everyone's actually) faces it shows how we all felt about his England call up at the time. One of our very, very best was Ralphy.
So many memories, but when he sprinted half the length of the pitch to score against Liverpool in '66 is forever etched in the memory.
