Simply a ridiculous situation that was allowed to play out with the player.

After 14 years of propping up the club Venky's knew full well at that date that finance was unavailable to complete the transfer and, for that matter, any future transactions in the immediate future.

Purely legal.......Venky's have been more than accommodating to Blackburn over many years.

Now circumstances appear to have changed.

I remember that guard of honour. If you look at the smiles on the player's (and everyone's actually) faces it shows how we all felt about his England call up at the time.
