I'd at least enquire. Tripps liked us, we liked him. He is exactly the player we are missing for the system we are playing. When he went to Spurs Walker looked overweight and off the pace and I thought Tripps would easily get to be number 1 choice and I'm sure he backed himself to do it too. However...

1972/73 for me... I think your first is always special. As someone else said I felt Burnley were bound to live in the top division.
