Re: That idiot arrogant ref is at it again
That's my fear for next season when VAR hits the Championship. The standard of refereeing is noticeably worse than the Prem and logic says the standard of VAR officiating will be worse, if indeed that's even possible. The PGMOL really needs to get a grip or VAR will be a dominant factor in a lot of...

Re: That idiot arrogant ref is at it again
Every player is intent on conning the officials from the moment they set foot on the pitch. Is it any wonder that they manage to manufacture decisions which go in their favour? Whether they succeed or fail it is always the officials who get the blame one way ot the other. I have a good friend who is...

Re: RATE THE REF - Darren England v Tottenham
I never mark the officials, however, one question today is how do JBG and Brownhill get booked for tackles which win the ball fair and square but the Spurs players roll around on the pitch, whilst Emerson comes on and puts a studs up challenge in, doesn't win the ball and is not booked, in spite of ...

England played well, Australia battled hard but Kerr missed a couple of good chances and it was a good win in the end. Well done. A strange refereeing display in the first half when everything seemed to go for the Aussies, however, she had a much, much better second half and was on top of her game a...

This is Test Cricket and the Aussies are proving better at it than us and remain switched on to all possibilities.

Good article Tony. Les was a good player who you could always rely on to give his all for the team.
I thought that he really excelled when he moved to left half around 1953/54 time. I was young but always enjoyed watching Les play and he was also one of my dad's favourite players.

To be honest, Surrey also threw away a number of wickets with bad shots when their players seemed set and this is why we had them at 230 for 9. Our bowling had not been brilliant but we picked up wickets, however, just what we were doing when the last pair were at the wicket is open to conjecture. W...
