Re: Good news on Defour

I've been noticing this season how much Defour joins in with our goal celebrations. He really looks like one of the boys now. Very positive sign, particularly for a club like Burnley where team spirit is such a significant factor.

Re: Hang your heads in shame BBC.

It's a difficult one, positive discrimination. In India 20% of all government jobs and state university places are guaranteed to Dalits (the oppressed, who used to be known as untouchables). This is a measure taken to try to redress traditional discrimination against Dalits. It seems like a good thi...

I think the best two keepers I have seen are Blacklaw and Heaton. Chris Pearce could be pretty bad on his off days, some of his performances in the 91-92 promotion season were comical.

I think in the game against Rochdale when Williams played a blinder they had two sent off and still won 1-0. That's when they saw us as local rivals and their supporters did enjoy it.

Born in the West Midlands, grew up in Essex and then lived in different places in the UK and US. My allegiance goes back to 1961 when I was six and Burnley were on the TV playing Cologne in the European Cup, with Kenneth Wolstenholme commentating. There was not much football on then and me and my br...

Re: Public 'Tricked' into buying unhealthy food

The issue here is the extent to which people can be influenced by advertising and marketing. It's not exactly being tricked, but it is being manipulated to some extent, which is why we no longer allow tobacco to be prominently displayed in shops. Even a hard-line right winger like Rowls couldn't pos...

The correlation between wages and position is 90%, so Leicester and Sunderland represent the 10%. No team of Burnley's size stays in the Premier League without a rich owner throwing money at them, and even then it is not guaranteed, as QPR found out.
