Did Dyche get lucky today ? Joey's ban gave Westwood his place not Dyche's genius.
Joey has needed dropping for a few games IMO.Westwood has had a good game and I'm not sure we would have done as well with Barton in.

His defenders got him out of jail twice when he palmed shots to attackers.

Re: Ashley Westwood
Been saying for a while he should be in instead of Barton. He proved it for me today. Tidy, looks after the ball and no giving it away in situations where there is little pressure and a simple pass will do.

Pains me to say but ABC
.... was the only sane voice on the team news thread. Postby ablueclaret » Sat Apr 29, 2017 4:55 pm Football is mighty strange sometimes the ugly duckling does the trick. Not my idea of a good line-up but certainly has SD written all over it. Hopefully he gets it right and puts the season to bed. I'...

Thought he put a shift in today by his standards. Worryingly many others didn't which is not usual for us and was the minimum we needed.
Not a good time to be giving less than 100%.

Re: Agyei off to U20 World Cup?
Lost count of the number of people who told me Ashley Hoskins was better than Trevor Steven and that was after more than 10 mins. so please stop talking rubbish. Young players very often do not develop how you would expect - especially after watching for 10 mins. I'm afraid this just goes to show th...

Re: 4-5-1 against Boro
Amazed everyone's going for Barton been poor with the ball for a time now.
Dyche has many mantras and one is about "looking after the ball" which Joey isn't doing - Westwood may not be spectacular but from what I've seen he does look after than ball better than Joey - cue Spice.

Said exactly the same thing yesterday. It seems to have no bearing on how many have played for their countries either, though I did think Keane and Hendrick looked off the pace and tired. Maybe we're not as fit as Sean likes us to believe.

Re: Gifton Williams hat trick
I was on that match sat next to a very depressed Streeterpingfellow at half time.
I jokingly said to him don't worry Gifton will score a hat trick in the second half. He wasn't amused and for the only time I can recall I made an accurate prediction.

Vokes mobility
Sam's never been particularly fleet of foot but recently he seems slower than ever and without wanting to be unkind a bit lumbering.
Is he carrying an injury - it looks like it at times ?

Think you lot should check Payets stats on the BBC site. He was actually better this season till the fall out. However, statistics suggest that his individual displays have not changed drastically. Over 90 minutes he averaged 3.27 shots this season compared to 2.42 last term, created 4.4 chances per...

"With drug-related deaths hitting record levels in England and Wales in recent years, combined with cuts to drug addiction services and a nine per cent cut to local authority health budgets over the next three years, all the conditions are in place for things to get a lot worse."

Re: Joey - I just love playing for this football club
I'd take everything Joey says with a pinch of salt. He works the crowd and came unstuck at Rangers with some of his verbal showmanship. If as CT says he's here for as long as we want him I feel it's probably because he's run out of options. Time to let his feet do the talking and show what he still ...
