Re: Andre Gray
I was on row 1 on the bottom tier yesterday - so the view was pretty awful...especially when the ball was at the far end. We did not have any real clue what happened with Grays "chance" in the 2nd half....but I assumed from the comments on this thread that it was a good one. Thought it was a bit str...

Re: Andre Gray
Of these three events, Gray's was the most clear cut. Vokes header: he did amazingly well to get as close as he did Arfield: this is down to skill of Clichy as well as inadequacy of Arfield Gray: clear cut chance that most prem strikers would've buried He was dreadful throughout today. I remember o...

Re: Andre Gray
Yep but his record against Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid is truly awful : 0 goals / 0 assists.
And how many goals has he got in the World Cup Finals ? - on the big stage where it really matters ?.....again zero.
Enough said

Re: Andre Gray
Thought Gray had a poor game today
Dyche should have hooked him early doors.
Awful awful first touch
Dyche needs to go....we'd do a lot worse than appoint Bumba and Mohammed as our new management team - on the condition of course they are allowed time off school.

Re: Andre Gray
Embarrassing that you can't read - I have never said he had a good first touch - as many have pointed out on this thread his first touch is not why we bought him - it's his pace, power and goals. He offers what nobody ends in the team does. Are you saying you would prefer a striker with a great firs...

I'm not sure how he even won that vote he wasn't even the best player in our team. Yes we call Rhodes because he's good at his job, we don't ever call bad b@stard players do we? If Andre gray played for the venkys we would slate everything about him, just like Burnley fans do with Jordan Rhodes. Rhodes is much better technically than gray yet we call Rhodes and defend gray? Clearly that's your view It's not the view of Dyche It doesn't seem like it's the view of Karanka It...

Re: Andre Gray
It's an even stranger way of awarding points given Defour is being hooked after 60 minutes because he is often out on his feet - Dyche obviously thinks that if he was left on the pitch then there is a very good chance that we would lose any advantage we had in the game. Your way of calculating point...

Re: Trippier
What wage is Tripps on ?
I would think we are paying Defour and Hendrick (and possibly Keane) between £30k and £40k a week. Is Tripps on much more ?
It was reported that that the contract we offered Keane was £40k a week.

Maybe it's because you think you know more than Dyche

I didn't say anywhere in my post he had a good or bad touch - I said it was similar to our other strikers.

Will he be Jermain Defoe or Rohann Ricketts? Both showed good early promise, one delivered on it, the other didn't. Neither, he will be Andre Gray. A mixed bag. It's all down to judgement. Complete nonsense. Let's at least state facts. In around 18 games for Burnley against top half sides last season (due to where they finished) Gray scored 5 goals, of which 2 were penalties. That's scoring in about 15% of games ignoring pens. That's a fact. You can dress it up how you want but stats...

Gray wasn't good enough last year against the top sides so it was hard to see him being good enough this year, but he is full of potential and may well improve over the season (albeit will never master his first touch).
