Re: Sheffield United FA Cup 1993 (crush)

Yes a great game and day, freezing fog, large crowd behind the goal on steeply banked terrace but disappointing draw in the end. Robbie Paynter got one I think.

Re: Burnley FC Dream Part 2

Nice comments by mrwalks12 in #43 on our "busy and active forum". Good to hear and his gesture of donating his original painting to raise funds for a charity is commendable and welcome. I now wish I had bought a Boyd picture last year, it was clever watching how he put it together.

Re: Vilnius, Lithuania

A beautiful old city (World heritage site?), was there 20 years ago and all I can remember is some very good steaks, red wine and nice beers. Architecture and cobbled streets also a feature. The citizens/natives did not like Russians.
Enjoy yourself.

Steven Defour

A good piece on Steven Defour in today's Guardian, sounds to have the right attitude, enjoys playing in a team at Turf Moor but injury has blighted his career so far. Here's hoping.

Re: Lancashire Cheese Poll: Crumbly v Tasty

Tough on Batty losing his place to Ansari, his younger Surrey team-mate. Batty got 4 wickets in the 1st test and had a degree of control that Rashid lacked. Cook wouldn't bowl Moeen in the 3rd session, 4th day, and seems to have little faith in any spin bowler but Batty can count himself most unlucky.

Some great photos on here, a credit to the lot of you. Many thanks keep them coming, us non-photographers enjoy them and I wish I was nearer Towneley park.

Ashington - this space cadet does not know what planet he is on. Am not sure what he is talking about, we won the World Cup 50 years ago not SIXTY but arithmetic is not his strength either.

Those last few overs were far from boring, great bowling at the death.

Re: A Warm Welcome to the Bee Hole End - a new online home for Burnley fans!

Excellent, much hard work has gone into setting up this. Well done and many thanks to all concerned. Hopefully the Clarets community will regroup here and continue to inform, debate, argue and entertain as in the days of yore. A welcome and surprising start to 21st January.
