Threw the ball away when we got one back against Stoke and delayed our re-start. We equalized a little bit later having been 0-2 down. Stoke weren't happy but was a great point on the road. 1999, promotion season under Stan. We had a good team who weren't prepared to lay down and die. Payton scored...

Nicky Walker was one of those signings that totally took me by surprise. Before the days of the internet, usually we found out about signings via the Lancs Telegraph or Burnley Clubcall. But when he strode out at the home game against Blackpool, I'd no idea we'd signed a new goalkeeper or who he wa...

It was in the same conversation that he called Allardyce a crook and was sued by him afterwards.

I'm not so sure it's great news for us. We had a good 'new manager bounce' when he joined us and we were talking about automatic promotion at one point (for about a week). If the same happens at Newcastle, then he gets the big signings, they'll stay up easily.

I used to work with Preston fans who I'd known from their 'superior' days. When they were in league one, they were sick at the thought of borrowing players from us (think it was Clarke Carlisle who was linked at the time). I think Blackburn fans would react even worse, so I'd be all for it.
