Re: Your biggest sporting achievements?
Being taken to a charity game of ex pros Man Utd v Man City by Stan Ogden,I was about 5 yrs old.More recently,I completed a half marathon, which for a 66 yr old first timer with a dodgy knee (sorry about the medical terminology)I think is quite an achievement

Re: Weghorst
He's dreadful. If we can get anywhere near what we paid for him then we should cash in. The only saving grace is that he cost us less than the massive overpayment Newcastle agreed to for his predecessor And we got a loan fee from Man Utd to offset some of the cost and didn't pay his wages ,with a b...

The Dutch fans are saying some nice things about him 'beyond useless " is an example . Re: Gary Neville asks VK 27 questions
All keepers have their weaknesses, but to suggest that Nick Pope is not good enough for our team is totally ridiculous. Joe Hart is playing for Celtic where the opposition is League one equivalent, whilst Pope is playing and been outstanding for Newcastle.Pope is an absolute top class keeper that wou...

Re: Bury are back at Gigg Lane
I think there's a lot of behind the scenes trouble at most non league clubs. When clubs are run by volunteers and players have agents, dragging every last penny out, it's not a good mix. That's the set up at Aldershot, although I'm not aware of too many problems.I do some voluntary work for them to...

Re: Bury are back at Gigg Lane
They'll do well to get back into the league from that level. I have been following the fortunes of Bradford [Park Avenue], largely due to my hatred of Bradford City. Relegated to level 7 - the Northern Premier League - this season. It's a long haul, but Aldershot did it from an equivalent division.T...

Admittedly he was underwhelming, and certainly didn't endear himself to the crowd - particularly the Longside - but knowing what we know now, I think Paul Stewart should get some understanding. He's so fantastic that there are loads of PL clubs fighting for his signature. He won't be in the PL or any of the top clubs in any major league and there is a reason for that. We paid £12.5m for a striker, a position that normally commands the biggest fees, and as another poster said we will probab...

These managers get into an elite loupe. Get a job with a big club, sacked after a couple of years(max) get heavily compensated, move to another big club, same again, sometimes return to the first club that sacked him at some point later, sacked again, and so it goes on. VK might fancy this merry go ...

No I don’t think it’s harder. I think we only need 5/6 new players as well as signing 3 out of the 4 loanees again. Compare that to having to bring in 15 new players and gel them all during a frantic Championship season with a rushed pre season. This time we’ve had / still have plenty of time to pl...

Once he's back at City he will consider all offers on the basis of career and money. If he gets a decent offer from Newcastle say, he'll surely take it in preferen...
