If you haven’t seen the first series of episodes then watch them on BBC catch-up. A brilliant script combined with outstanding actors/acting and set in the atmospheric and beautiful countryside around Todmorden, Hebden Bridge, Sowerby Bridge and Halifax. If you watched the original series of program...

Re: Whatever happened to the ‘School bus’?
Cost is a huge issue. If my eldest gets into the school of our choice it’ll cost over £800 a year for her to catch the school bus. You’ll soon find out that it isn’t ‘the school of your choice’ it’s ‘the school of your preference’. But that important and contentious issue should be left for another...

Whatever happened to the ‘School bus’?
Did councils around the country withdraw them to save money? The number of cars outside schools in the morning and afternoon is ridiculous. I remember catching the bus (I think it was the ‘contract 4’ bus) from Pike Hill to Burnley Grammar School, no parents drove their kids to school then. What hap...

That first half display was totally unacceptable, give them ten second half minutes to wake up and if there’s no significant response make numerous changes before it’s too late.

Council tax! Burnley council are ‘stealing’ £2,000 out of my £9,620 state pension. I hope they are spending it extremely efficiently!Burnley Ace wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 6:17 pmWhere do you think the Council are going to get the money from to buy and demolish these buildings?

Why doesn’t Ukraine ‘assemble’ their own generic missiles (with no identification as to where the parts came from) and then say to Russia - every Russian missile fired into Ukraine will be answered by a Ukrainian missile fired into Russia?

Think our players are on a break at the moment but you’d hope they’d be back in trading at the end of next week at the latest, potentially playing some friendlies in the two weeks leading up to the QPR match. Re: Benefit system to get a 10.1% pay increase
It doesn’t really seem fair that workers on very low salaries might get a 5% pay rise and those on benefits/pensions get a 10% rise. They might ask themselves the question ‘what’s the point in working?’.

I’m doing some research on British designed/manufactured/assembled electric cars but there seems to be very little choice. The Nissan Leaf, e-Mini (which might be moving to China), Jaguar, Landrover. The UK full (maximum) state pension is £185 per week/£9,000 per year. It's not a living wage but it's more then 'bugger all'. Sensible people must surely know that they need a second pension from their employers or privately. Most people will have this (I do). I don't know what benefits if any can ...

So that when the ref stops his watch we can all see it and it’s also clear when it’s re-started. Each game would then finish - digitally - on 90 minutes exactly.

Same starting lineup as against Millwall. Benson on for JBG around 60 minutes. Might need to replace Cork (with Bastien?) around 70 minutes if he’s looking a bit leggy.
It’s going to be a tough match, don’t get too carried away and be over confident.
