Ashley Young on loan?

Post by LoveCurryPies » Tue Jan 24, 2017 4:36 pm

Apparently wanting a loan move to play first team football. Would Man U pay part of his wages to make this an affordable option for BFC?

And if they would, would he be the kind of player you want us to sign?

120 k per week. It's a no from me. I'd Have him in for 1/2 a day as a consultant to teach our lot how to dive though. (Barnesey excepted)

He's on 110k a week.

List of wages of Utd players attached.

The good news is, we can afford Rashford

If Man United do allow him to leave on loan I reckon they'll have to pay a decent proportion of his wages.

Rashford wont be leaving because he's too important to them.

Blimey - Schweinsteiger on £200k per week!
I don't think he's played a league game this season, just the odd cup sub appearance. That must work out at a few hundred thousand per pitch minute.

It's not like the majority of posters on this forum to miss the initial OP's point.....

''Would Man U pay part of his wages to make this an affordable option for BFC?

And if they would, would he be the kind of player you want us to sign?''

To answer the OP, yes he'd be a great signing for us if United were to pay most of his wages. I wouldn't want him at the expense of Brady or Snodgrass on permanent deals though.

These obscene wages are making many players unaffordable and, therefore, "unplayable". How many 1st team appearances have the likes of Kieran Trippier, Danny Ings and Jay Rod made since their departure from t'Turf ? (injuries permitting). These obscene wages, demanded by the agents of the chosen ones, will only cause a further upward spiral in transfer fees.

We probably couldn't afford Ashley Young on half his current wages but, as Woodley says above,

"No wonder he cant be arsed wether he plays or not"

A sad state of affairs that is not going to get better any time soon :(

From a purely footballing perspective, he'd be a great loan signing.

14 weeks is 1.5m in the grand scheme of things quiet affordable and less than the extra money we would get for finishing one place higher. Depends on what else is out there but could be a really good fit for tha way we
Play.

If United paid 50% that would cost us 750k. Cheap if we stay up.

I don't know how anyone with any kind of football knowledge could say no to the possibility of having a player like Ashley Young on loan when we're that short out wide we have been using Defour there and Kightly the only backup option.

United don't want to let him out on loan, they want to sell him. At those wages, I can see why.

Neil Young!!! Terrific Canadian content. He was born about 5 miles from where I live. His dad, Scott, was a great sportswriter.

Er, NOOOOOO! (But he'd suit Sunderland imo. Just the sort of player they seem to like! Sorry, Rejected, but he seems to fit the "type")

Im sure dyche said not so long back that he had a quiet word with a few of them for going down to soft . If we had young dyche would spend most of his time yelling at him to stop going down to easy . Anyway his wages would be affordable so we can tick this one off this . Onto the next one

There's not a cat in hell's chance of anyone buying him on that wage, other than a Chinese club!
