So I'm keen to write a piece comparing clubs when they first arrive in the Premier League and how much they 'prepare' for it... Then from there compare how they finish their 1st season, whether they were relegated or finish top half etc vs how much they spent.
So am I right in thinking that Burnley spent £19m in the summer?
JBG and Pope £3m
Hendrick £10m
Defour £6m
Bamford and Flanagan were loans (obviously adds to wage bill but I'm talking fees here).
We've signed Barton on a free...
Let's say we spend £10m on Snodgrass and then shut the window...
Are Burnley fans happy that we would have spent around £30m in our first Premier League outing (this round around)?
Thanks
C
What is the total transfer spend from Burnley?
Re: What is the total transfer spend from Burnley?
I am happy with that if we stay up
If we keep all of the key players in the summer I would like us to spend another £20-30m.
Id we sell someone decent then I would hope to spend more

I heard the hendrick fee was less than 8m. It may rise to 10 over time but the initial fee was lower than 8.

Defour £7.4m
JBG £2.5m & addons
Pope £1.1m
Don't forget we've also recouped around £3m from the sales of Jones, Jutkiewicz and Lafferty
