Bradley Lowery has passed away (7/7/17)
Just seen this message from the family
My brave boy has went with the angels today 07/07/17 at 13:35, in mammy and daddies arms surrounded by his family.
He was our little superhero and put the biggest fight up but he was needed else where.
There are no words to describe how heart broken we are.
Thank you everyone for all your support and kind words.
Sleep tight baby boy and fly high with them angels

RIP brave lad - heartbreaking to see such young kids suffer
Lots of strength to his parents, I think I couldn't cope with losing one of my kids

Very sad news, we all knew it was coming, but such was his fight you didn't want to believe it.

Re: Bradley Lowery has passed away
I really don't know what to write to be honest. I know his pain and suffering are over but this is so unbelievably sad and my thoughts are with his mam and dad, his family and their friends right now.
This brave little boy has united football in these last few months and we've all seen his relationship with Jermain Defoe and the other Sunderland players.
Cancer really doesn't have any colours.
Bless you Bradley.

I'm sure the Bradley Lowery Foundation will help many kids his age and provide something positive from something so terrible.

RIP Bradley Lowery. My day is filled with reflection
Re: Bradley Lowery has passed away
I hope he had the best time imaginable over the last six or twelve months. He and his family have been brave beyond belief in their battle against an illness that no one, let alone a child with so much to live for, should ever have to go through.
Rest in peace little Bradley and my thoughts are with your friends and family.

Rip little man, no parent should have to bury their child.
Hopefully in time his family can look back on the memories created during his illness with fondness.

Re: Bradley Lowery has passed away
Sunderland play tonight at Bury - he will be in their thoughts. The club have placed the following on their website this afternoon.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Bradley’s parents, Gemma and Carl, his brother Kieran and their family and friends. We extend our love and support to them, now and always.
Bradley captured the hearts and minds of everyone at our club with his indomitable spirit, tremendous courage and beautiful smile, which could light up even the darkest of rooms. Despite battling neuroblastoma for much of his all too short life, he demonstrated a bravery and fortitude beyond his years that humbled us all. He was truly an inspiration.
His heart-warming friendship with players and staff alike epitomised the impact this wonderful little boy had on everyone he met. He had a special relationship with Jermain Defoe and their feelings for each other were evident for all to see. Jermain, naturally, is heartbroken.
Bradley’s story not only touched our club and our fans, but also the wider football community. Football can be a powerful force for good and our sport came together to embrace Bradley’s fight in a unique way. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to every club and fan who supported Bradley in recent months and showed such warmth and kindness to the Lowery’s - we are truly grateful.
Throughout his illness, Bradley’s family and friends have worked tirelessly to increase awareness of this brutal disease. Their fundraising campaign, initially for Bradley’s treatment and subsequently to raise money for the foundation that will bear his name, will ensure that other youngsters and parents facing the devastation of life-threatening illnesses will have the help and support they so desperately need.
Bradley’s passing will have a profound effect on everyone and we understand that people will want to reach out to support the Lowery’s. We would kindly ask on their behalf however, that that they are given the privacy they need as a family at this most unimaginably difficult time. We will continue to support them in whatever way we can.

A very sad time for his family and friends. The story of Bradley has touched the hearts of many, and in thinking of him today we must also spare a thought for everyone else who is fighting this dreaded disease. Loosing a child must be one of the hardest things to have to bear as a parent.

For such a young man he was a complete inspiration. He packed so much into his short life and was an inspiration to everyone who met him.
Special kudos to Jermaine Defoe for his obvious love and support for the wee man and his family, after all his goals are forgotten his friendship with Bradley will long be remembered.
Love to the family - you can be so proud of your lad.
