Does anybody fancy keeping me updated while I have a few pints in the pub?

My FotMob doesn't seem to be working. It's never alerting me to goals.

Defour and Barnes off. Arfield and Brady on.

Is there any point playing Arfield? I thought he was off elsewhere.

We have got to keep this guy. Big links again with West Ham but we need him up top for us.

Tendayi Darikwa sounds to be having the game of his life according to Forest match text.
The writer has fallen in love with him.....!

I've been a critic in the past but he would be very difficult (expensive) to replace.

That would be classed as blasphemy by one particular poster. ;)

Hmm. Taylor playing centre back, or has Ward been pushed in?

Taylor at centre back. Ward and Bardsley fairly advanced as we try to push for the win.

Decent work-out by the sound of things. Only a friendly but glad we didn't lose.

Clear pen but the ref was surely not Woolmer. He has a bald head and the ref today had a full head of hair.

Would that be "Wiggy" Woolmer by any chance?

Didn't look like Woolmer to me although both clubs have reported that it was him.

From reading the report on the official BFC site, we could have started 4123, which I quite like the sound of, especially Cork, Hendrick and Defour in the same central midfield. However, it seems that SD may still not favour starting JBG or Brady, i.e. our creative wingers. Surely at least 1 of these has to be starting once we finalise the team for Chelsea etc.

SD club interview says players had double session on Thursday and legs were suffering "second day syndrome" first half before they recovered second half. he's happy just to get more minutes into the squad.

Summit - it looked a bit like 4123 when we were attacking or pressing high up and more like 4141 when defending (not that I'm an expert on these things).

I also thought Defour was given some licence to play across the midfield. In the first half he seemed to pop up all over the pitch and was always showing for the ball. Whilst he (and the rest of the team, quite frankly) didn't have a brilliant game, it was a good work out for what seemed, to a layman like me, to be an exciting and more fluid formation.

Only a friendly but we looked so much better playing in the 442 than we did in the first half with the 433. Only Jack Cork looked comfortable and to be playing well in that first half.

We looked more like ourselves second half, helped by the introduction of the proper wide men.

Nice day had with the family. Special mention to the steward who directed us to free local parking. Very pleasant interactions with all Nottingham folk. Sat near the noisy boys which mine thoroughly enjoyed. Rocky gave us a throat warble as the oppo keeper cleared - took me back.

Ashley's not a left winger, Jack Cork is class, Andre Gray is surly and mentally 'on his way', Tom Heaton is class as a player and a man, and the longer serving squad members are better at PR than the new ones. Oh, and Mexican Lager and corn soup works. That's what I learnt today.

Thanks and good luck to Tendayi Darikwa.

UTC!

their number 31 who they got on a "free" from Olympiakos looked better than any of our midfielders.

So apparently there's nothing wrong with selling a player for nothing between clubs if they have the same owner.

Forest frustrated us with possession much the same as most premier league clubs will, very impressive.

Scott Arfield also learnt how to pass in the concaf it seems.

Cork looked like he had all the time in the world - class act.

Was it just me that thought Tarks (and to a lesser extent Ben Mee) had put a bit of timber on?

As for Gray. He was truly awful for pretty much the entire time he was on the pitch. Still, he scored so, arguably who cares what else he does as long as he bangs a few in.

Is it only me who thought Mee scored an own goal or do my eyes need testing?

Wasn't at the game but watched the stream and subsequent highlights and I'm sure he got the deciding touch.
