Sunderland's home form.
17 games without a win a home, their current record is 18 and the record in the league is 19 games.
They've got Bolton next up.
I thought they'd struggle in the championship, but I didn't think they'd be this bad

They're going for that record.
Were losing 1-0, pulled it back to 1-1.

£140 million debt, an owner who wants to sell and not invest, squad with not enough fight and a struggling manager.

Couldn't understand why Larry left PNE to go there in the first place......
Re: Sunderland's home form.
I think Grayson made a major mistake taking that job on. I think he is a decent manager at the right club. Another case of a foreign benefactor losing interest bit like Everton down the line ?

Re: Sunderland's home form.
Results not good enough for a club of their stature they have reported on their website - what an absolute mess of a club.

Lunacy for Grayson to take that job in the first place.

Re: Sunderland's home form.
A poisoned chalice. Not sure who would want that job. Shouldn't have left PNE and thought that at the time. Glad I have a bet on them to be relegated.
Re: Sunderland's home form.
As he walked out of the boardroom do you think the chief executive said "shut that door "?

Re: Sunderland's home form.
Hopefully this news will make Sean Dyche think even harder when the next "opportunity" comes along for him to "better himself".
Grayson to Sunderland was a real gamble for him, given his status at PNE. Sunderland a bigger club potentially, but in a mess. PNE - stable and progressing.
(They are already calling for Mowbray to be replaced by Grayson on that other messageboard! lol)

You can't shut the door at Sunderland, it's a revolving one !!bfcjg wrote:As he walked out of the boardroom do you think the chief executive said "shut that door "?
I can see them following our friends from down the road into Division 1 at this rate, then Rovers won't even be able to say they've the best Stadium in the Division !! I do hope Stanley keep up their promotion form !!

Re: Sunderland's home form.
Remember when the bookies had Dyche as favourite for the Sunderland job. It just goes to show that nothing in the future is certain.

Fortunately this time he isn't even listed in the betting.Colburn_Claret wrote:Remember when the bookies had Dyche as favourite for the Sunderland job. It just goes to show that nothing in the future is certain.

Re: Sunderland's home form.
We were - Clark took Huddersfield on a 46 league game unbeaten run over two seasons and overall had a very good record there. Looking at when he was at Huddersfield it must have been at the time we appointed Eddie Howe. There'll be no danger of him being accepted back at the Stadium of Light, that's for sure, not even if he was the best manager in the world, not since he was just about sacked for wearing the Sad Mackem Bastards t-shirt.tim_noone wrote:Wasn't we once linked with him? Re: Sunderland's home form.
I've just seen a recent photo of Simon Grayson. The man looks to have aged beyond recognition in a very short time.
I've always liked him as a manager.
I think he needs some time off.

He was linked after Coyle moved on as well. Re: Sunderland's home form.
After his debacle at Bury Clarke needs to rebuild his career at a smaller club such as bstards.

Sunderland need a manager like Warnock/McCarthy

Yesterday's draw means they've gone 20 home league games without a win, making that a new record in English league football.
