If you happen to be in Atlanta for whatever reason in the coming MONTHS then give me a shout since the ale is on me.

I opened the thread with the intention of finding a link to an article unjustly scathing the Clarets or maybe to read about another pundits airings.

This I did not expect.

We are with you fellow Claret and Blue brother. Be as positive as you can, we’ll hopefully provide you with the content to do so.

Hi ClaretCanada, I'm so sorry to hear this. I've never had cause to tell you this but you are one of my favourite posters on here. I've always enjoyed your Vancouver weather reports on the match day threads and your overall optimism. You have always come across as a true gent. I wish you all the best for the time you have left and just hope you're surrounded by loved ones. UTC.

Just about to go out for an incredibly rare night out. Reading your news has tempered my exuberance but I will raise my first pint to you, sir. I really don`t know what else to say. You are in my thoughts. I hope you have love surrounding you and can find comfort throughout every day. As a previous poster said, leave no kind word unsaid and no simmering issues unresolved.

Very sorry to hear CC. I can only repeat what many have already said on here as words are very hard to come by in times such as this.

You mentioned, "no last time for the Turf, but you never know" - if you can get over and it's one of the things you'd most like to do one more time, then try and do it. I'm sure there would be plenty of posters on here, myself included, who would attend and meet up with you, if that's something you'd welcome.

I echo the thoughts and words of everyone else on this thread.
I hope you can look back at your life with no regrets and have the strength to make the most of your remaining time with family.

If ever a thread on a football fans site could put life in perspective it is this one, very sad news.

so so sorry my friend.......................all the moaning and groaning we do in life whingeing about the smallest things at time, falling out with the people we love and care for over sometimes the most trivial things - shocking news like this brings so many things into perspective. Lots of love pal.

A post like this makes us realise both how fragile life is, and how we all sweat the small stuff way too much.

I hope the prognosis changes for the better next week. However, if this is the last few weeks, I pray they are as pain free and love filled as possible. X

That’s awful news CC, I admire how positive you are about it! If you was up for coming the turf again for a match I’m sure we could all chip in and get it sorted for you.

Keep fighting because occasionally they are wrong with their diagnosis and people live for years and years!

A bit of a strange idea I guess but I’ve heard a lot of people talking about cannabis oil. If you’re interested there’s a lot of info on google about it, there’s nothing to lose if you do decide to try it!

I wish you all the best. Keep fighting. UTC
