62/63 I thought the whole of the Football League programme was suspended rather than individual matches.

Hull City game 14/1/84 called off because the team bus couldn't get across the Pennines although about a thousand of their fans made it

Wasn't the Birmingham match in 13-14 under threat? They asked for help clearing up and supporters mucked in then we got beat!!

A pint of ale of outstanding natural beauty in the lower buck in waddi will be a good back up if it is called off.

A few years ago there was a game that Sky was going to cover that got postponed at the last minute for snow. Think it was at Newcastle

Halifax away early 90s, Clarets went over to clear the pitch and got a free ticket I think.

Plenty in the bus depot above the away end (rolled Tarmac) chucking snowballs and singing what's it like to pay £5?

Francis scored twice.

Self edit-just read list above, must have been New Year’s Day one, and six years out on my he at time. Funny how the grey matter starts to struggle!!
It was Boxing Day, probably about 89 or 90, think the list is home games. Think your Shaun drove to Chesterfield and we thought about going to watch Sheffield Wednesday v Forest.

We had another interesting trip to Chesterfield the season before, remember the car park behind their end? Great place to park!

I reckon it will be on. Although the chances of us getting over the Pennines to see it look pretty slim right now, still a couple of days to go though.

If it stays like this I don't think it will. I am sure the pitch will be fine but people will have great difficulty getting there. Including the Sky TV crews!

No chance unless there is a dramatic improvement which seems very unlikely at present...Its like Siberia up near Nelson Golf Club.

It will be played. If you can't get there safely just watch on sky. It's not the end of the world.

I reckon it's in the balance.

As said, hopefully a big improvement by Saturday.
At the mo, it's not looking good.

And we won't be the only one if it's off.

I've missed the last two home games for family reasons, so I'm really keen to get to this one but not if its going to be a real struggle getting in and out of Burnley.

I won't be going either way, weather here in Chesterfield is insane and I am snowed in.

Can't imagine what it's like in Lancashire if it's like that here.

Missed last week-end game due to a flare up of my Psoriatic Arthritis and was very much looking forward to the Everton match. However given the present situation I daren't chance it. I only hope if the match is to be postponed it's done sooner rather than later. Think the club have a responsibility to fans traveling from far and wide.

Haha. No snow - going to be over 30 degrees here on Saturday. In fact, I’m sweating as I sit here typing this in my underpants

When is it forecast to stop snowing?
If it's Friday, as it is here, it'll all be sorted.

Edit: BBC News weather report went up to 3pm Friday and showed no snow for Friday although -6°C. Unless it snows after that it will be on.

The only good thing that day at Reading was the hot chocolate and living 3 miles from the ground. Not far to go in soaking wet clothes

Was that when we were swerving punches whilst running to the car? Draw if I remember?? Incidents at every match around that time (Mansfield, Rochdale and stockports away) great fun!

I think we won 1-0 at Chesterfield with a Peter Mumby winner.

Mansfield was a bit lively!!

Remember at York getting some ear ache from some local lads who ran off when a few older Clarets turned up!
