Mighty Clarets versus Sticky Toffees

Post by IanMcL » Sat Mar 03, 2018 10:11 am

Whilst I am deprived of my seat at the top of the Longside Upper, Madge had somehow made it out of her shoebox at HolyCustard's and is on her way to the ground.

Come on you Clarets. Safe journey(s) all.

It'll be just our luck to be winning 4-0 when the match is abandoned.

I`ve gone for a change in formation allied to a kit change. My 1-year old daughter is in the home kit but asleep in daddy`s bed. My 3-year old boy is in a Burnley t-shirt and has been switched wings to his mum`s bed (not happy). I`ve also gone for the `Champions 2015/16` Claret t-shirt. Also bought the wife a more expensive than normal bottle of wine to chill her for the early kick-off.

COME ON BURNLEY, do likewise!

Can we persuade Everton to wear our green and black shirts from years ago?
Give them some bullsh1t about being able to pick out their team mates easier if it snows

I'll be watching on the box today - the new box that arrived just this morning. Mounted it to the wall bracket on my own (not sure how) and all seems well (until it falls off later, lol). Now all I need to do is crack open a beer and cheer the mighty clarets to victory! :D

Tarks is back - straight swap for Long - everyone else as it was - first choice back for the first time in an age

I really think today should have been the game where we dropped Jeff and put one of Vokes or Wood in.

Time will tell.

Great to see Tarkowski back (Long has been impressive though). Dreadfully disappointed to see Hendrick still in there (suspect Dyche gave him food poisoning with a dodgy omelette). Hope Jeff proves me wrong!

Get at `em Burnley and on the front foot from the off. The least it will do is keep you warm.

Rednapp acknowledges Tarkowski absence from team over last three months but no mention of Heaton, etc etc etc .

Don`t think we have missed Heaton - Pope has been excellent and should be rewarded with an England call-up.

I really hope I'm wrong but this formation of Barnes and Hendrick does not fill me with hope. Saw the game last week and it was a dire tactic that just didn't offer anything. Just simply didn't work. Long balls up to the lone figure of Barnes who had his hands full holding off the big defenders. If we are going to play this one up front formation why not have the best player on the books for dealing with this .... Vokes. As for Hendrick being his support man .... jeez. But don't worry .... it's probably just me that thinks this, I'm sure we'll win 3-0 and Barnes will get a hattrick.

Good cross from Lowton.

So easy to do - get an overlap, cross it in....

Lowton gets down the line and curls a cross away from Pickford.
