FORTY POINTS UP!!

Post by jdrobbo » Sat Mar 03, 2018 2:33 pm

A well-deserved win to get us back on track in what has been a truly brilliant season so far. With more winnable games to come and players returning from injury, we could yet end this campaign in a very strong manner.

Sean Dyche deserves every credit for today's win. His half-time substitution, very early by his standards, helped us to get a grip on the game and really start to dominate the Everton defence.

On to West Ham United next weekend and hopefully more points on the road again!

That's the best we have played since the Chelsea game in my humble opinion. Excellent stuff and very very well done

We have the forty points and we’ve stopped the run of not winning. So with both monkeys off our backs we can relax a bit and push on to endure a top half finish.

And we have come from behind to win a PL game too. Happy, happy days.

We played really well today and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thoroughly deserved win. The best I've seen us play over 90 minutes this season (I haven't seen all of our matches).

Had it not been for Pickford we could have won more comfortably.

First-class performance from the team but a special mention for Ashley Barnes who showed class in addition to his undoubted commitment (magnificent pass from Matt).

Thank goodness that run is over.

Thought the crowd got behind the lads very well.

Sorry Cirrus for chortling at your expense but that's excellent fat-finger syndrome. I'd love to endure a top half finish every season, if that's OK?

Flew over from Spain for my first game since September. Enjoyed the performance, thought the crowd atmosphere was good as well. I hope it's the last we see of Hendrick playing out of position in that so called number 10 role. The game was crying out for the Clarets to go two up front at home with Wood and Barnes doing the business. It was cold on there but the benny n hot did me good. Time to celebrate with a couple of beers now. Great time to be a Claret.
