I know we are looking at entering at the 2nd qualifying round.. but what happens if Liverpool win the Champions League and finish 5th in the Premiership?

Do they not defend? Leaving only 2 in the Europa League??

All three relevant qualifying rounds are seeded; because of the national English element of the seedings, we will be seeded in rounds 2 and 3, but it could be touch and go for round 4 (the so-called play-off). Depending who qualifies for the round 4, of course; if we don't qualify, we won't be seeded.
