Relegation Rivals Today
Relegation Rivals Today
Southampton is s good result, means they have to do a replay. Cardiff getting knocked out is better than them winning in terms of momentum but would have preferred a draw. Huddersfield are in a right mess. A win today for them would have put them up for beating Cardiff next up which I can't see happening. Would like Oldham to draw with Fulham tomorrow and finally thank you B@st@rds making Newcastle replay will help us out.

Re: Relegation Rivals Today
You might have to wait a while for Rover's replay, courtesy of the Blackburngraph.
Stanley overcame Championship side Ipswich Town 1-0 – thanks to a Billy Kee goal, Burnley beat League One Barnsley 1-0 and Rovers earned a replay at Ewood after drawing 1-1 against Premier League side Newcastle.
The draw takes place on Monday night on BBC One; immediately after the game between Wolves and Liverpool.
The Clarets are ball 24, John Coleman’s men are ball 14 and Rovers, joint with Newcastle, are ball number 10.
Rovers’ replay at Ewood Park will take place on the Tuesday, November 15th – unless it’s moved for telvision coverage.
The fourth round matches are scheduled to be played from Friday, January 25, to Monday, January 28, meaning Stanley's scheduled home match with Oxford United will have to be rearranged.

Is that November 15th 2019 or 20 or an obvious typing/ predictive error.tiger76 wrote:You might have to wait a while for Rover's replay, courtesy of the Blackburngraph.

Yep all in all a good day. We progress. Pope gets a game. Ward gets a game. Defour gets a game. Vydra gets a game. No injuries.
Relegation rivals have bad results all round.
Bring on Fulham.

We have an extra day's rest for the Fulham game too,not a huge advantage but every small edge helps out.cricketfieldclarets wrote:Yep all in all a good day. We progress. Pope gets a game. Ward gets a game. Defour gets a game. Vydra gets a game. No injuries.

Re: Relegation Rivals Today
Fulham game is so big.
7 point gap with a win, and genuine momentum. Chance to go from relegation possibles to relegation improbables in 3 league games. You don't generally go down when you can / do win 3 on the spin, and when you demonstrate an ability to win key home games.
Too much to ask - 4 wins in 4?I actually think we will have too much for them, bring it on!

Do we not want Huddersfield to beat Cardiff? Would that not be the best result for us?

Fulham 2 attempts on goal + a missed penalty that should never have been given

It didn’t seem libellous to be honest and not sure why it was deemed necessary to be deleted. Bit of a weird one.

Re: Relegation Rivals Today
Fulham may well be happy about going out of the FA Cup.
Well done Oldham.
It looks as if they may well spend some money in the transfer window and will
be determined to have a go at staying up. They have players who can do
some damage but their defence is the worst in the Premiership so hopefully
we will be able to bag a few. Just one more than they do will do for me.
Shall be on tender hooks for most of the coming week leading up to the game.
An absolute 'must not lose' if not very close to a 'must win.'
The sooner we get 20+ points on the board the better.

Re: Relegation Rivals Today
Without wishing to appear recklessly over-optimistic all logical thought points towards a win.
Three wins in a week, a settled-side (possible RB question mark) playing a system the players are comfortable with. So many of the positive traits we've come to recognise in the Dyche-era back in evidence.
Expect Fulham to spend some serious money but would be surprised at this stage if any incoming players, even if they arrive this week, could make an impact as soon as next weekend. Hugely demoralising defeat for them today. Add to that their record at Turf Moor is grim.
Providing we apply ourselves properly and get the job done it will be a huge psychological boost to break 20 points - especially as we ended Boxing Day with 12 and rooted in the bottom three.
Really think yesterday's result sends out a positive statement - all of the relegation threatened teams were up against lower league opposition and we were the only winners - the most likely to go down all suffered defeats that inflicted varying degrees of damage.
If we can beat Fulham it will be a huge blow to their chances, much as Wednesday night's victory was to the Terriers.
