It's our normal Burnley tactic. Once they accepted £3,5 million, we reduce it to £2,5 million.

shocker a goalkeeper concedes some goals that don't look great. I bet if you looked hard enough you could find goals conceded by Tom that don't look that good.

I hate the the thought of Heaton having gone but Billy Mercer will know exactly how good this lad is now and how good he can become.
These two keeper deals will prove to be outstanding business and management yet again.

Like the one at Anfield, or more recently at port vale.
It happens to the best of them.
Look at the supposedly best goal keeper in the world ( de gea ) he looked bobbins for his first 2 seasons at United when young.
I bet he still throws the odd one in now.

Unless, unless, unless Pope's injury is more than is being said? You know what it's like at Burnley (MI5) FC. As fans we are, to be fair, like the proverbial mushroom (kept in the dark and fed on bullsh!t). Transfer fees = undisclosed. Transfer rumours = we haven't been approached (or approached anyone). Player injuries = we'll have to wait and see/it's a work in progress/we're waiting for the doctors report/he's back training on grass (and on and on). It's all good fun and we are used to it so we make of it what we will.Granny WeatherWax wrote:His comments are interesting. Wants to leave Leeds to play football. He ain’t gonna get any at Burnley in the current situation plus he ain’t good enough for the first team yet.
Having said that I prefer it to having 5 pages of headlines every day in the tabloids like the Uniteds of this world.

How old fashioned! (And just a weee bit discriminatory )
Its a "given name".
As opposed to a name you found lying around, presumably.

Anyway, if he's insisting that Bailey is now a first name then I think our Bailey should team up with Mott the Hoople to make a new pop duo.

What happens if 2 people with double-barrelled names have a child, will it have 4 hyphenated surnames? Or will it be mix'n'match?Blackrod wrote:Double barrelled used to sound posh. Now it is more likely to mean dubious background.

Good age for a keeper. I'm sure Sean and Billy have seen enough in him that convinces them they can improve him.
