Football manager
Is it...?
Just nearly tempted myself to get it and remembered all the times ‘just one more game’ as manager of a teams like Wrexham convinced you could make them great. And it’s 4am and you’ve got school, college or work soon...

Re: Football manager
Had them all since it's changed from champ manager, it's a great game to have playing while your going about your business around the house, but pre season and January requires 100% attention

Re: Football manager
I used to go the turf and before the game think “Stockport, top of the table clash today”... then remember that in reality we were bottom the league and Emile Heskey wasn’t on loan for us.

I had a job I hated when I was about 18. But I had installed Football Manager and was about 25 seasons in with Roma. couldn't bring myself to quit the jobLocal cricketer wrote:Been late for work many a time due to sneaking one last game in.

Re: Football manager
I used to love championship manager 96/97 including the Italian leagues. I've not played football manager I must admit but tempted to get it on mobile. Anyone have any experience of the mobile one?

Re: Football manager
I've got FM19
Got the Burnley job after success as Chester, Lincoln and Birmingham manager.
Took us to Europe after winning the FA cup and championship double but have spent five years in the prem being boringly mid to lower table with a sensible wage bill and a reputation for passing football and giving youth a chance.
Its quite good fun, but the tactical stuff takes far too long.

Re: Football manager
I read that football manager is responsible for more break ups and divorces of any computer game.
The games still good, but it used to be really polished, now it's full of so many features and many are broken and it's not the same experience as it once was.
Yes you can give your assistant the dirty work but they never do as good of a job as when you handle it yourself..
In 19 the new tutoring system is broken, scouting is broken, team talks when left to your assistant are broken and there's still really bizarre crap that happens with players, both with happiness and in the match engine.
Training is good now but still pretty complicated. Transfers are better.
FM touch is a good game too if you like the older champ manager style.
