Brilliant effort by their fan groups for the pressure they've put on the club to get this far - well done to them

Will the stewards make the other 73,500 sit down ,or will they continue to ignore the standers who make it impossible for fans unable to stand up to see when inconsiderate fans stand up and refuse to sit down?
We are now unable to stand up for long and have stopped attending away games.I know at present its not an issue but the problem of standing fans who refuse to sit down wont go away.

The trial is in a home section so will make no difference to away fans, but when we reach the stage where there is safe standing for home and away fans in stadia then we can expect that those in the seats will be sitting. It's safe standing but the campaign from the FSA for some time has been called Standing for Choice because fans will, when all is done, have a choice of sitting or standing.

My heart sinks when folk on the third row from the front stand up!
No hope for the rest of us then.

For the older folk who canโ€™t stand for 90 mins:

Would being able to lean on the rail that comes with a rail seat help you to stand up? Appreciate itโ€™s different for everyone.

Made a big difference for me at Spurs but the introduction of standing areas will also bring with it seating areas where people do sit.

Me too Woodleyclaret.
I've only been to one away game this season, at Sheffield United.
We were only about six rows back but had to stand all through the game.
Be a while before I go again.
Shame.

Daily Mail reporting ManU have been given permission for a trial and will install 1500 rail seats when crowds are allowed back on.
